Art Call. This is an invitation for groups and individual artists to a group exhibition:"Energy - the Good, the Bad and the Ugly". This is a kind of forum for any sentiments about the global situation and crisis now endangering our precious ecosystem. This can include ideas about the uses, the resources, the consequence, the hope, the reality, the politics, the activism, the privilege, the negligence, the problems, the successes, the alternatives, and the emotion tied up in making, using and creating energy. You may exhibit plans, models, photographs, sculpture, drawings, paintings, video, mixed media, installations, experiments, performance art, and visual or audial reflections. All entries have a $15 entry fee. Each artist or group may not enter more than three entries. This exhibition opens August 6th, Closing Party September 3rd. Exhibition runs through September 18th. Art drop off is July 31 from 3 - 5 PM. Art arriving by mail should be postmarked Monday July 26, 2010 if sent first class or two or three day mail. All work should be ready to hang or free standing. All art should also include a biography of the artist(s) and an artist statement. This is an invitation for artists to participate in the upcoming exhibition at the Irma Freeman Center for Imagination: Energy: the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

The deadline for this exhibition is July 31, 2010 at 5 pm at 5006 Penn Avenue. The gallery will be accepting proposals and artwork from 3 – 5 pm Saturday July 31st. For further inquires please call 412-924-0634. The entry fee is $15 per piece. If sold the IF Center will take a 25 % commission fee. Artwork must be ready to hang or able to stand alone or on a pedestal.  All artwork and proposals should be accompanied by an artist statement relating the work to the theme, and an artist(s) biography. These should be attached to this form and labeled. No more than three pieces shall be accepted. In the unlikely event of any damage or loss caused to artwork, this cannot be reimbursed; however, we agree to handle all work with care.
